6 month happenings:

So 6 months is the best age ever! Liev is making so many sounds and smiles almost anytime you look at him! He wants to touch everything he can reach and is getting really strong! I sit him in his Bumbo chair on the kitchen cabinet when I make dinner and have to move everything away because a few times he has grabbed something like the kettle or a bag of potatoes. It's pretty funny.

He is so aware of his surroundings. When the animals walk up to him he reaches out to pet them and starts talking to them. He is now just under 21 pounds and is tall for his age too. He is such a thumb-sucker! I absolutely love when he sucks his thumb!!! Oh, and when I go to take a picture of him he almost always smiles for it. What a stinker! :)

I really don't ever want him to change. He is such a beautiful blessing to Jeff and I. The other day Jeff was saying how it's funny that Liev and I spend all day everyday together and yet have never had a conversation back and forth (at least not in grown-up language).

Oh my gosh - his cheeks are so big!...and fabulous!!! Every single time we're out, strangers come up and make some comment about him. I never get tired of it! He is my pride and joy!

First Food

Today Liev had food for the first time. It was sweet potatoes that I made and we got a video of it and it was hilarious!!! He sat in his Bumbo, wearing just a diaper and a bib :) But....he has seemed to have an upset stomach ever since :( He has not really taken a good nap since then either. We had his 6 month check-up this morning. He is at the 95% for height and over 100% for weight....as usual :) The doc says that he checked out perfect!!! Always good to hear! As I write this he is actually sleeping!!!! I have been praying for this! Anyway....we have guests in from South Carolina right now. Watching Myth Busters after Quesidillas and Blue Bell. Has been a good night.

Here I am!

Wow...I have a blog! Never thought this would happen. I'm horrible at keeping journals and hope that I can keep this up. I think it's important to write down thoughts and happenings because not only is it therapeutic but also when you look back at your writings, you can see how much you've changed (or haven't changed). I really want to do this because of my son. He is the joy of my life. I want to write things that I will look back on and be transported back to this time. To be reminded of the wonderful human being that is my son. Wish me luck!
